First Impression of Coraline:

Well so far in the book, Coraline, is just a simple person like you and me, and she just moved into a house, that is right next to some weird neighbors...there's this crazy old dude that says that he is training mice, for his secret circus...weird huh? And then there's these other two lil ol' ladies, they're crazy too, they have way too many scottish terriors, most of them are stuffed, they claim that they used to be in showbizz, but they currently have two dogs, both still scottish terriors, and at the end of Corliane's visit with all three of the crazy people, they all told her that there was danger coming up for her. And every one except for her parents call her Caroline. They always get her name wrong. but the mice, she thought could talk...told the crazy man to tell Coraline, that there's danger, and she needs to be prepared. Lucky for her the two ladies gave her a rock with a hole through it, she doesn't know what to do with it yet, but she'll use it. Then there's the door...the door she finds in an empty room, she opens it, and it's just brick, she's dissapointed. The next time she opens it, her mother is out to the store, and her dad is on a trip, she finds that there's no bricks, just a dark tunnel, she is scared but she crawls through it anyway. She crawls out, and everything looks exactly the same as her house, she thinks that she may have just been crawling through a tunnel that lead through her house, and back again. But then she smells the delicious food, and hears someone in the kitchen singing...she finds a person that looks like her mother, cooking none the less! She's surprised, and then she walks forward, her mother turns around..."We've been waiting for you." creeped out by that Coraline, asks who she is, and she says that she is Coraline's other mother. So then she asks, where's my dad, and the other mother is like well could you go get him, he's in the office, and tell him that lunch is ready. So Corliane goes to get him, and finds that he is really happy, and playing the piano! He's usually on the computer, doing bookwork and tuff, but not this dad, so she thinks that he must be the other father. Then as she explores she realizes that this has to be a big dream, she tries waking up but nothing happens, she's still there. Then she looks around and finds that there are the three crazy old people again! And everything that the old ladies used to do, they were young, and all these scottish terriors were clapping, and cheering them on! They were theatre people! Then she met the old man, he was young too, with a big plump looking mustache. And she stepped into his condo, which was upstairs, and watched as the mice danced and sang her a tune, that told her that they were there when she awakes, and they will be there when she falls, she leaves and meets a cat that talks, who says that he is from her world, and that he is not part of the imaginary world she sees here, and so she walks around with the cat, and just like everyone else, he warned her about this world. She's a little creeped out about it, but then the cat says, it's a good thing you brought that wih you, you'll need protection, and she comes back to her other parents house, she sees a needle, with black thread, and big black buttons! Her other mother says it'll be good for her, but she says no, and her other parents are like, well then we'll see you the next time, and she leaves as she sees her other mother mouthing the words, not saying, mouthing, "Come back soon." and she waves her finger toward herself, bringing it back and forth.

First Impression on Midnight For Charlie Bone

Well so far there's this kid named Charlie Bone who has some kind of freaky power to tell what people say, just by looking at the picture, he can tell exactly what like they were saying. Like there was this one baby and a man holding the baby in the picture, and at that moment he can tell exactly what they were saying to each other, the baby was giggling a lot while sitting on his lap, so then he tried to explain what he was hearing in the photo, and he has a very twisted family, he has one grandma that is very supersticious about Charlie, and the other one is just happy all the time, but basically his supersticious grandma, is aware what charlie is having, he has the speacial "Bone" powers that his mom and the other happy grandma thought skipped a generation or two, but they were wrong, and that's all I have so far.

Wake: Last review

Well the book is about a girl named Janie, a guy named Cabel, who is absolutely in love with her, and she feels the same for him. But there's a catch she can go into people's dreams against their or her will. Which isn't all that great, but in the book she's trying to control how she enters their dreams, and that she can only save the people only if they ask her to. It's very complex. Ummm and that Cabel is an undercover agent working for the police, and Janie helps out with a major bust, just by having a dream about the drug dealer. Basically by the end of the book, it's all a happy ending, Janie was trying to get a freeride into college, but the Captain had gave her an envelope with a contract, a scholarship, and a pay-check, say to her good job Janie. So yah all in all, A really, really good book. I recomend!

My opinion about the book, is that it's thrilling, a little confusing, and kind of romantic. There's a lot of things to look our for, becuase obviously, your dreams are certainly not your own! But there's sort of a sad part to it, that her mom really doesn't even care about her. :( but in a way she does, just not in the way that Janie wishes she would care. Carrie of course freaks out at everything. And her boyfriend Stu, well Carrie let's just say, can get herself into a little trouble. But I really enjoyed the book. It had ZING! And the plot, at times was hard to understand, but eventually it gets to where, things don't surprise you as much becuase you feel like you understand the character so well. I recomend this book to young readers, just becuase there's all sorts of ideas about this book that will make you want more!

Last Reading of "The Hobbitt"

The plot of this book had jumped around a lot, but basically it was about a man, named Bilbo...who was a hobbitt, and he and his freinds, I can't remember their names but there was at least i think seven or eight of them that had joined him on this journey. Bilbo had found a ring, and it belonged to the dark lord, as they called him. He was of course the bad guy, who got his hand chopped off by this one dude that had also helped Bilbo, Bilbo was the m,ain character. The way that they had explained the story in detail about where they were at times and how they had fought the goblins, really was magical. It made me visualize the story in my head. Really amazing.

My response was awesome book! I thought that I would never ever understand the book at all, but now that I do, it really opens my mind to newer horizons, I really enjoyed this book. I hope that I can read something like this again. :)

Wake: Review Two

I really like this book, for it's creativity. I think that it really relates to what kids dream about, and how they might feel about certain memories of their life. The way Lisa Mcmann explains the detail of Janie entering peoples' dreams really gives you a full look at what that person is feeling at that moment. The plot is that Janie in trying to discover what she can do to avoid entering peoples' dreams, she doesn't want the gift, frankly it annoys her. Seh is slowly progressing to find out how she can avoid every dream, she's even dreaming her own dreams, discovering how she can control herself in other dreams. She knows it's hard. She has her best friend Carrie, and a new addition to her group...Cabel, he's cute to her, and the way that she explained everything about how she can enter dreams to him and not Carrie makes it seem like they're really the ones who should be best friends, but she keeps entering his dreams about how he turns into a monster with razor sharp hands, that chop an old man, and kill him, after he's screaming in pain and agony. Another dream has to do with Carrie, and her boyfriend. Janie enters Carrie's dream where her boyfriend Stu is making love to her while she yells out for her brother, saying help him....yah kind of an awkward dream. Janie tries to help the boy, but every time, she can't, she's stuck between two worlds, the real one, and the dream world...and neither one are playing in her favor.

The Hobbit: Second Review

I enjoy the way that Bilbo and his buddies have joined as a team and are looking out for each other. But I really think that Bilbo isn't going to give the ring up anytime soon. The book is saying that Bilbo hides in dark corners, and anytime that he can he'll slip on the ring and turn invisible. But that's becuase the ring is taking a hold on him, and is turning him evil. T he goblins are helping them, not trying to eat them anymore, which is good, but now they're at a place and the head leader says that they cannot leave becuase he says that Bilbo and his friends have put him and his people through a lot of trouble, and he's rambling on about how they paved that road that Bilbo walked on, and that it's disrepectful to just leave. Smeagle, the little goblin dude is creepy and is following the hobbits and the dwarves, and is trying to get Bilbo to give up the ring to him.

Mushrooms, and

Mushrooms poem

The way she explains the cold lips of the wind, that's so pretty exceot it makes me think that the wind has lips haha! How she calls the little mushrooms skulls, is true becuase they look like they're little skulls coming out of the ground. How they grow out of the ground, growing past the leaves on the ground, "Through the leaves, the grasses, through sand, astonishing." It sounds so pretty how they just grow like that, like at their own pace. it's so sad that when it hits to dark, they dissappear back under the ground.

Wild Geese poem
she explains that you don't have to be good at something, just yourself take over. If you tell her about your depsairs, she'll tell you hers, and that life just goes on, and that's the way it has to go. She says, "Meanwhile the sun and clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the lanscapes--" that to her may not have ,eant somethingm but to me it meant that even though the world around you is changing, you still have to move on somehow, and just keep moving forward. it made me really think about my furture, and how I will have issues but somehow I'll have to move on. but meanwhile, she says, the wild geese are flying in the blue sky. That's something beautiful to think about.
